Stop 44 – Why Have a Sprinkler System?

Here's a remarkable fact. Apart from firefighting and explosions, there has never been a fire that took more than one life in a building fully protected by sprinklers.

A National Fire Protection Association study from the nineteen-seventies found that about twenty lives a year were lost in U.S. buildings with sprinklers, compared with about four thousand a year in buildings without them.
